What brought you to KS&R?

I graduated from college in 2007 and began what felt like a hopeless job search. I wasn't sure what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I knew what I didn't want to do – financial planning- and those seemed to be the only jobs I was offered. One Sunday, I saw an ad in the newspaper for a market research position at KS&R. As I read the job description and qualifications, I thought "I might be good at this." I applied and the rest is history. I've been with KS&R for over 4 years, and I really can't picture doing anything else.

What would we find in your refrigerator right now?

A take-out container of leftovers from my favorite Italian restaurant. I love going out to dinner. I always make a point of saving room for a chocolaty dessert, so I tend to always bring home left overs. I also have chocolate chip cookies and a bottle of white wine. A glass of wine with a couple of cookies is the perfect end to the day.

What would surprise most people to learn about you?

That I interviewed Gloria Steinem when I was 11 years old while participating in New York Life's "Take Your Daughter to Work Day". It wasn't until I took a women's studies class in college that I realized what an influential person she was.

What is your idea of happiness?

Spending time with my boyfriend and our dog, Madden. We work opposite schedules, and always have so much going on outside of work, that I really look forward to the times when we can stay at home and relax. Spending time with friends and family from back home who I don't get to see very often also makes me happy.

What quality do you most admire in a person?

Selflessness.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Teleportation. I would have lunch with friends and family on Long Island, and dinner with my Dad in Florida. I'd never have to drive in snow or sit in traffic ever again.

If you could trade places with anyone for a week, who would that be?

My older sister so I could I spend the time with my new niece, Allison. We only live an hour's drive away, but with work, class, and just life in general, I don't see her as much as I would like to.

What is the best advice you ever received?

Don't let the fear of failing prevent you from trying new things.

Are you a morning or a night person?

A night person, for sure. I have real trouble getting moving in the morning and prefer not to be spoken to until I've had my coffee! It's particularly hard in the winter; I have to psyche myself up to get out of my nice warm bed and head outside to clean snow off my car.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

To not worry so much. My dad constantly reminds me not to sweat the small stuff. When I was in high school, he even made me read Dr. Richard Carlson's book by that title.
