What brought you to KS&R?
I am a native of Central New York, and attended Syracuse University, majoring in IT Management. I was planning on a career in computer science – but soon realized that I enjoy interacting with people more than programming for hours at a time. After a few years working for a large telecom provider, I decided it was time for a change. During my job hunt, I came across KS&R and was very impressed with the list of clients. And KS&R's strong technology focus seemed like a great fit. I am able to leverage my IT background and truly enjoy working with clients and seeing how our research shapes their business decisions.
What inspires you?
My family. Having two young boys at home now has given me a different perspective on things. I have always heard that life is different through the eyes of a child – I just never really knew what that meant until I got to experience it firsthand.
What natural gift would you like to possess that you do not?
To be a scratch golfer.
Are you a morning or a night person?
I used to be a night person. Now that I have two children under the age of 3, I seem to possess the ability to be both.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
To be able to fly. I really dislike getting caught in traffic on the highway, or waiting in security at the airport. It would be great never to worry about those things again.
What's on your to-do list?
I am in the process of building a world-class swing set and jungle-gym in my backyard. I am looking forward to making a lot of memories on it this summer!
If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
To be a test driver for a power sports company. I love riding anything motorized. To be paid for racing around all day would be a blast.
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
A bear. I am a big fan of the outdoors. To spend my days hunting and fishing and being outside would be a nice change of pace.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
I love to eat. There is nothing better than sitting around the table with family and friends and sharing a home cooked meal.
What is the best advice you ever received?
Yesterday is in the past. Learn from your mistakes and move on. Live for today and cherish every moment. There will come a time when tomorrow may never come, so have no regrets.
