What brought you to KS&R?
I graduated from Binghamton University with a BS in Business Management and a minor in Marketing. I took a Market Research course as part of my curriculum and really enjoyed it. During my job search I came across a posting for a market research position at KS&R, and the job description intrigued me. After coming in for an interview and learning more about the position and the company, I remember thinking, "I would love to work there."
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I'm an avid runner and have participated in more than 100 road and trail races. Recently I've gotten into longer distances. I've run 4 marathons and a 50k (31 miles). I have two marathons on my race schedule for this year. Running a 100k (62 miles) is on my bucket list.
What is your most urgent New Year's resolution for 2014?
Get back on the mat. I used to practice yoga regularly, but I let it fall by the wayside in 2013. I'm hoping to make more time for yoga this year.
What's the luckiest thing that ever happened to you?
The saying "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family" comes to mind. I lucked out in that department. My parents and siblings are really supportive and some of the funniest people I know.
What is the most used app on your mobile phone?
Fandango. I love going to the movies! I go on a weekly basis. I use the app to check show times and read reviews.
What's your go-to fast food meal?
Subway - usually a turkey sub with all of the veggies.
What is your favorite guilty pleasure?
Frozen yogurt. I enjoy going to the self-serve frozen yogurt stores. I've been known to create frozen yogurt masterpieces that far exceed the average price. That accounts for a lot of ounces and toppings!
What is your pet peeve?
Distracted drivers. The worst is when drivers don't move forward when the traffic light turns green. I always assume they are texting.
What's on your to do list?
Go to Hawaii.
Imagine that you have been sent back to 2004 and have 60 seconds to tell your prior self anything at all. What do you say?
"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it." That, and "Choose joy."
