Solutions Developer

Overview

KS&R’s Marketing Sciences Group (MSG) is seeking a solutions developer to lead exciting initiatives both for internal enhancement and spanning our diverse client portfolio. Core responsibilities include identifying improvement opportunity areas across the organization, selling the need for the solution to internal stakeholders, and executing both the development and implementation of the solution. These opportunities span across categories including process automation, BI tool maintenance and enhancement, code refactoring, natural language processing, package development, data collection and management, and extending software capabilities. These responsibilities will evolve with the position, keeping KS&R at the forefront of business analytics and innovation in support of fact-based decision-making. Candidates for this position should demonstrate a high degree of learning agility, the ability to work across teams, and be passionate about data driven decision making.

Description

Responsibilities

Identify unmet needs through working directly with internal stakeholders
Develop solutions to enhance KS&R’s research capabilities
Gain support from internal stakeholders to ensure successful rollouts of solutions
Lead programming initiatives and develop code to implement new methods, enhancing internal processes through automation
Work collaboratively with various teams’ company-wide
Incorporate feedback (iteratively develop and re-design solutions)
Adapt to changing objectives as the direction of research evolves

Requirements

A master’s degree (Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
5+ years’ experience in a relevant field
Expertise in R and Python with some experience in R Shiny
Experience with calling various cloud APIs
Working knowledge of basic data science
Comfort with big, open-ended projects with many workable solutions
Experience writing and maintaining clear documentation and examples
Strong time management and prioritization with the ability to work through a variety of concurrent projects
Collaborative mentality and ability to work with a variety of personalities and styles

Preferred Qualifications

Proven applications of NLP
Experience with building and maintaining R packages
Expertise building and maintaining R Shiny tools through R Studio Connect
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Experience working with databases and SQL
Experience working with Lighthouse Studio
Some experience with JavaScript
Some experience with SPSS
