KS&R’s Jay Scott Appointed Chair-Elect of UGA MMR Advisory Board

Unanimous appointment recognizes Scott’s long-standing leadership in the insights industry and his commitment to bridging academia and industry.

KS&R, an industry-leading strategic consultancy and marketing research firm, is proud to announce that Jay Scott, Chairman of the Board, has been unanimously appointed Chair-Elect of the University of Georgia’s Master of Marketing Research (MMR) Advisory Board.

A 1991 graduate of the UGA MMR program, Scott brings more than 30 years of experience shaped by leadership roles at M/A/R/C, BellSouth, FedEx, and KS&R. For over two decades, he has helped position KS&R as a global brand — leveraging the firm’s deep industry expertise to help clients make smarter, faster, and more confident decisions.

Scott has been a passionate advocate for the MMR program throughout his career. He has mentored students, hired graduates at every level, contributed thought leadership, and supported KS&R’s involvement as an active corporate partner. His appointment reflects not only professional achievement but also his personal dedication to the next generation of insights leaders.

“Jay has been one of the MMR program’s star champions for decades – as an Advisory Board member, a student mentor, an employer, and a frequent speaker in our series who brings the realities of research practice into the classroom. Under Jay’s leadership, KS&R has also been an extraordinary partner to our program, consistently investing in our community by sponsoring alumni network events, the Insights Night, and the Future of Insights Summit. His appointment as Chair-Elect is a natural extension of that commitment, and I’m thrilled to continue working with Jay and KS&R to increase opportunities for our students and alumni,” said Marcus Cunha, Director of the UGA MMR Program.

As Chair-Elect, Scott will advance the program’s mission to blend academic rigor with practical experience. He will also guide long-range planning to help the program anticipate future skills, methods, and leadership needs as it approaches its 50th anniversary in 2029.

“The MMR program launched my career and now it’s my turn to give back,” Scott said. “As our industry navigates an AI boom and evolving analytic models, I’m committed to upholding the promises that define this community: exceptional education, open doors to meaningful career pathways, and a network that supports you throughout your journey.”

Following a year as Chair-elect, Scott will assume the Chair role in December 2026, helping guide the nation’s most respected marketing research graduate program into its next chapter.
