KS&R, an industry-leading strategic consultancy and marketing research firm, today announced the availability of a free media report, “Challenges and Evolving Perspectives in Obesity and Weight Management.” KS&R surveyed 501 U.S. adults who self-identify as being above or significantly above a healthy weight to better understand how they view their own health, the challenges they in face managing weight, and the opportunities for improving support and outcomes.
Findings reflect the challenges people face with managing their weight, how weight affects their daily lives, confidence, and the struggle with repeated cycles of weight gain and loss, as well as perspectives on weight management medication.
The report highlights differences by various demographics and outlines opportunities to improve engagement by emphasizing empathy, transparency, and integrated approaches that combine medical guidance with lifestyle and behavioral support.
“Our findings reveal that weight management is as much an emotional journey as it is a physical one,” said David Ouellette, Director of Healthcare at KS&R. “People want support, consistency, and credible guidance– but most feel overwhelmed by the noise.
