KS&R Partners with The Good Life Youth Foundation
KS&R, through its community outreach program, recently awarded The Good Life Youth Foundation with a donation in support of their vision for a brighter future for Syracuse youth.
“We take great pride in the communities where KS&R operates. As we enter our 40th year, KS&R will continue to seek ways to thrive as well as help those around us to thrive,” says Mike Nash, KS&R President. “This year, we selected The Good Life Youth Foundation because of its unique collaborative and innovative approaches. They not only provide the young men and women in their programs with the necessary resources for success, sustainability, and growth, but they are also on a journey of social, emotional, and personal development.”
The Good Life Youth Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for “at-risk” youth. Through partnerships and collaborations, they provide various services and programs with the purpose of encouraging successful and productive careers and life strategies, with the ultimate goal of encouraging entrepreneurship as a means to reduce recidivism, escape from poverty and improve academic performance.
Each year, KS&R contributes a portion of its annual profits to a deserving organization. The gift to the Good Life Youth Foundation will support the development of The Hip-Hop Center for Youth Entrepreneurship. The center will be a dedicated space for youth that will include a café where culinary interests can thrive, a gallery for display and sale of original artwork, and a music studio where teens can explore both the craft and business of the industry. The center will serve as a hub for collaboration and become the headquarters for GLY Printing, Good Lawns, and Good Eats.
